Los Angeles Bar & Bat Mitzvah Photographer

Why Families Choose Me as their Bar & Bat Mitzvah Photographer

Bar and Bat Mitzvahs are meaningful milestones, and I document them with care, respect, and a focus on genuine moments.

My approach is friendly, low-key, and unobtrusive. Not everyone feels comfortable in front of a camera, and I do my best to help people feel relaxed and natural—often by sharing a good laugh—while documenting real moments as they unfold.

I offer flexible hourly coverage so families can choose the level of documentation that best fits their celebration, whether for the ceremony, family portraits, or the reception.

If you’d like to discuss further, I’d love to hear more about your plans.

Documenting meaningful milestones with care and genuine storytelling

TESTIMONIALS

We have had the privilege of working with Ada as our volunteer photographer for several years, and her contributions to our temple community have been truly invaluable.

Ada has a remarkable ability to capture the essence of our most meaningful moments, from holiday celebrations and lifecycle events to community gatherings and educational programs. Her photographs don’t just document our events; they preserve the joy, spirituality, and connection that make our temple community special.

What sets Ada apart is her genuine care for our community and her artistic eye for finding beauty in both grand celebrations and quiet, intimate moments. She has an intuitive sense for when to step back and when to move closer, always respecting the sacred nature of our gatherings while ensuring that no precious memory goes uncaptured.

Ada’s generous gift of her time and talent has created a visual legacy for our temple that we will treasure for generations. We are deeply grateful for her dedication, her professionalism, and the warmth she brings to every event she photographs.

We worked with Ada for our daughter's Bat Mitzvah in November 2024. The photos she took are so beautiful. She really captured the spirit of the event, and our family. We are so grateful for calm expertise. Since then, we've referred her service to two family friends who needed a B'nei Mitzvah photographer, and both hired her. Ada is easy to work with, and we could not be happier with the final result from that important day
SHIRA B.

Ada is a gifted and delightful photographer. My partner and I worked with Ada on an outdoor portrait session, and we are so pleased with the photos captured. From the start, Ada was flexible on location and scouted it out for optimal times of day to shoot. She knew how to put us at ease so that we enjoyed the experience, and this translated in the photos she captured. Ada was also prompt with communication and delivery. We highly recommend her to others!

FAQs

Coverage & Deliverables

Do you offer hourly coverage or full day coverage?

I offer hourly coverage so families can tailor documentation to their needs—whether that’s ceremony-only coverage or full-day storytelling from preparations to party.

What does your Bar & Bat Mitzvah coverage include?

You have options! Coverage can include a pre-event portrait session and/or event-day documentation.

Pre-event sessions may include formal or casual family and individual portraits at your home, the synagogue, or an outdoor location.

Event-day coverage may include family and individual portraits on the bima prior to the service or outside/inside the synagogue. If allowed, full synagogue service documentation followed by reception/party coverage with candid moments, décor, and dancing. If your synagogue doesn't permit photography during the morning service, I can photograph during the rehearsal leading up to the event.

How many photos will we receive?

The number of images varies based on coverage length and event flow, but families receive a thoughtfully curated gallery of professionally edited, high-resolution images that document the full story of the celebration.

How and when will we receive our photos?

You’ll receive a private online gallery for viewing, downloading, and sharing with family and friends. Typical turnaround time is 2 weeks after the event. I will also send a small preview gallery of approximately 10 images the day after the event to share with family and friends.

Do you offer albums or prints?

Yes. Professional albums and fine art prints are available as optional add-ons. These are designed as heirloom keepsakes to preserve your family’s milestone for years to come.

Planning & Logistics

How far in advance should we book?

Spring and fall dates tend to book earliest due to synagogue scheduling and family travel patterns. I recommend inquiring as soon as your synagogue date and venue are confirmed to ensure availability.
